Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root. New hair will not grow back in the waxed area for two to eight weeks, although some people will start to see regrowth of hair within only a week. Strip waxing can be done by spreading the wax thinly over the skin, and then a cloth or a paper strip is pressed on top and ripped off the opposite direction of hair growth.
